Ontario’s Electricity Regulation Crisis Report ““ Part 20: Ratepayers Clean Chairman’s Teeth at Tony’s Hydro (Formerly Toronto Hydro)

Clare Copeland, chairman of Tony’s Hydro (formerly Toronto Hydro) has been getting benefits paid by ratepayers to have his teeth cleaned and other health benefits to the tune of $6,595 on top of the $75,000 he takes home annually for his part-time job chairing the government-owned utility. Toronto Hydro first started reporting the compensation and benefits paid to Copeland on SEDAR for the year ending December 31, 2008. Copeland has been enjoying health and dental benefits paid for by ratepayers since that time.
