Readers of this blog will know that a story appeared here on the morning of November 11th breaking the story of the Ontario government’s attempt to contain electricity rates. In today’s article, “Hydro cut the start of consumer relief: Liberals”, the Star’s Tanya Talaga and Robert Benzie, apparently in reference to a Star story that appeared late on the 16th in the electronic edition, claim “As first disclosed by the Star, Duncan will use the fall economic statement to launch the “˜Ontario Clean Energy Benefit,’ which is worth 10 per cent of hydro bills starting on Jan. 1 and continuing through 2016.” Robert Benzie made a similar claim on November 1, 2010 claiming that the Samsung deal was “first revealed by the Star”, although this blog carried the story three days ahead of the Star.
