Environmental Commissioner of Ontario: Green Poverty is Good

I debated Gord Miller once on Steve Paikin’s TV show when Miller argued that the fact that our trading partners are taking the Green Energy Act to the WTO proves that the GEA is a success. I was speechless at Miller’s lack of concern for those in Ontario who make their living meeting the needs of clients and consumers elsewhere.

In a new series of essays, pompously addressing what he called “electricity pricing illiteracy”, Miller now says that the Ontario public’s “obsession with low prices” is a problem. Miller’s analytical clarity about prices is on the same level as his conclusion that trade wars are good. Miller’s energy vision for Ontario is to pursue green poverty.

Average Ontario household power rates will be the highest in North America except for PEI and Hawaii by the end of 2013. The pace of rate increases will accelerate in 2014.  Power rates in the U.S. are generally trending down. Low income households and employers with high power requirements are already being harmed by high electricity rates.

There was a time when Ontario’s power rates were lower than the real marginal cost of service. Those days are long gone, but Miller’s awarenss hasn’t caught up with the shifting economic fundamentals.

Miller’s propaganda on the economics of electricity in Ontario is riddled with obvious factual errors. Here is an example.

Miller says, “The wind and solar generators are only paid when, respectively, the wind blows and the sun shines and they generate power that is sent into the grid.”

Nonsense. Wind and solar generators with the Feed In Tariff contracts the ECO is trying to defend get paid not for power they deliver to the grid but for deemed production. When the grid can’t receive the output from wind and solar producers, and generation they could have provided but is turned away by the grid operator gets paid in full.

Meanwhile, the ECO stands idly by as the wind power industry carpets sensitive wetlands, migratory bird flyways, shorelines, and bird nesting areas with industrial facilities profoundly disrupting those environments.

Instead of defending sensitive habitats, the ECO’s priority is defending green consumer rip-offs with vapid, inaccurate propaganda.

lol, of course it is. As is the Bigger Vision for all of Canada and everywhere else. Industrial Wind Turbine battles are merely one teeny part of the bigger picture… only one of many conveniently and politically exploitable population distractions to limit their broader visioning. This appears to be working as well as could have been hoped for, unfortunately… I bought it hook, line and sinker for a few months, myself.

The EU is ahead of us in achieving the green economy goal by means of mass green energy adoption and unjustified subsidization (ie: economic devastation by green energy costs to taxpayers), in case anyone wants to get a preview of the North American (as per NAFTA) forecast.

Our traditional economic system (and traditional political system that upholds it) can’t be replaced by the Sustainable Developers’ preferred “Green Economy” otherwise. “In with the New” first requires “Out with the Old”, as per the global Agenda plan for execution. The comprehensive plan merely makes good use of phony “save the earth/planet” so-called “green” but equally phony justifications for achieving its real objectives.

Taxpayer-funded practitioners of “Development Economics” are at work as hired to create and implement taxpayer-funded “make work programs” for their self-sustainability – hired by every level of government and as supported by their self-created and intermediary, parallel “Creative Economy” which benefits their entire Social Entrepreneur industry worldwide, didn’t you notice?

Better get with the more comprehensive program voluntarily, to assure your place among the predetermined “winners”. If you don’t, you’ll do so involuntarily anyway and become a guaranteed “loser” like everyone else with traditional Canadian and universally-applicable principles that would uphold our traditional economic system and our traditional political system (which are being transformed as per the transformation to a global “green economy” in alignment with Agenda 21).

Best quickly figure everything that is NOT sustainable as per Agenda 21, Tom… better start reading between its lines accurately… you’ll find the not sustainable list contains pretty much everything we’ve traditionally known and respected as Canadian citizens and individuals (especially private land/property ownership self-interest/decision-making control retentions and independent future planning requiring self-determination allowances), also the traditional economic and political frameworks needed to uphold such.

Welcome to the joys of understanding and envisioning Miller’s more comprehensive vision – achieving that good old “Our Common Future” Agenda 21 has planned for forcibly imposing on everyone except the aforementioned top-level and predetermined global “winners”, lol… this world has seen such a future common to all but those at the very top before, just not worldwide, as intended now. Same old, same old battle planned to benefit the same, as attempted before by the same mindsets, just on a grander scale.
